Intro to... Storyboard!
First Scene - During the first scene, we will be filming Person A’s (Lux) phone. On the phone, a thread of text messages from a photography teacher will be displayed. The shot will be from an over the shoulder angle as it is being used to share the information the person in the film is reading with the audience. The text messages will describe the location of which person A (Lux) must meet with person B (Andres) in order to complete a photography project. It will give instructions on what actions they must take.
Second scene - In the second scene, we will be filming at the location of which the two characters were instructed to meet - the location being the corner of a street. The camera will be placed to show the corner of the walls on the street, filming person A (Lux) from a medium long shot. Person A (Lux) will then look up from their phone, as they just finished reading the text message, and turn their head to look around the corner. As they turn their head, the camera will track and follow in the direction of which person A (Lux) is looking. This will be done in a pan from right to left, displaying the other side of the corner to show person B (Andres) walking towards Person A (Lux) They will awkwardly greet each other through a handshake before walking out of frame towards their designated photoshoot location.
Third scene - This scene will be filmed as a tracking shot. It will display both characters walking down the sidewalk towards the location at which they must meet to complete their photography project. They will exchange awkward glances as they walk down the sidewalk with tension.
Fourth scene - During the fourth scene, we will film the two characters standing directly in the middle of the arch that's a part of their photoshoot location. This will be a wide shot from a low angle to make the arch look majestic and create a connected dynamic between the characters.
Fifth scene - During the fifth scene, we will film person A (Lux) taking out a pack of Extra gum and holding it open for person B (Andres) to take a stick of gum as they express their gratitude. The shot will be taken from over the shoulder. This keeps the gum the center of attention while showing that the gum is bringing the two people together.
Sixth scene - In the sixth scene, it will be an extreme closeup of an Extra gum pack open, being held by person A (Lux). There will be an empty Extra gum wrapper half open with the drawing of a camera depicted at the center of the open gum wrapper. This Extra gum wrapper will be sticking out of the Extra gum pack. This scene is meant to show the product being advertised in full detail while still alluding to a prominent topic that was shown in the rest of the commercial - that being photography. In the background, there will also be person B (Andres) riding on a skateboard, which is part of the props, to tie the commercial back to the story as well as the gum.
