Cinematic Success !

Image
Saturday was supposed to be the day we all came together to record our movie, but unfortunately, Isa and Lauren were not able to make it. Luckily though Franshesca was able to come over and we decided to record all the scenes in my neighborhood. We were determined to make the best of the situation, and we brought along a tripod that greatly helped us with our shots. With Franshesca's help, we were able to capture some stunning footage of the scenery in my neighborhood. One of the biggest factors in the success of our recording session was Franshesca's newer phone, which had a cinematic mode that helped us achieve a professional-looking finish for our video. The quality of the footage was absolutely amazing, and we were all incredibly impressed with how it turned out. We decided to record in a few different locations throughout the day, including my room, my car, and a party room in my neighborhood that resembled an office. Each of these locations gave us a unique setting to wo

Like any good project, the proper tools are needed to effectively get the job done. In this case, I thought to myself what I could use to better enhance my project. I realized that something that could really separate my group from other candidates would be a tripod. With a tripod we could effectively have more clear, still shots. I decided to find myself a tripod and so I went on Amazon, and sure enough a really nice tripod was available for about fifteen dollars. I told my parents about it, ordered it and it arrived yesterday night. This was perfect as on Saturday i'll be meeting up with Franshesca to record scenes so this will greatly help us. The tripod extends up to four and half feet high and can go in all directions while still remaining in place. It also comes with remote control, which can connect to the user's iphone and digitally start and stop recording with just the click of a button. Franshesca is our designated cameragirl, so this will greatly help her exec

Change in plans....

Today was a really tough day for me, my friends Franshesca, Isa, and Lauren. We had been looking forward to getting together and working on our movie project. It was going to be the day we recorded some scenes for our movie, and we were all excited about it. But things didn't go as planned. As we got to school, we heard rumors about a lockdown being imposed on the campus. At first, we thought it was just a silly rumor, but we soon realized that it was true. The school was in lockdown mode, and we were all trapped in our classroom for the entire day. It was a scary situation. We had no idea what was going on, but we could hear the police going from door to door, locating suspects and taking them out of class all day long. We felt helpless and worried, and we couldn't focus on anything else. To make matters worse, we had to scrap our plans for our movie project. With the lockdown in place, we couldn't move around the campus, and it wasn't safe to record anything. We

Suit Up !

Image
For our upcoming movie, I am playing the role of a lawyer, and it is essential for me to be in a suit. A suit is a convention that can help convey the message that I am a lawyer to the viewers. The suit is a crucial aspect of the character, and it helps me get into the character's mindset. Although I already have some suits, I needed a new suit anyways as I use them for Debate and Mock Trial outside of school too, so it kills 2 birds with one stone. The suit I wear for the movie needs to stand out from everyone else in casual clothing, so it is clear to the audience that it is a costume. Over the weekend, I will be visiting a store to purchase a new suit. I have already researched the style of suits that lawyers usually wear, and I will make sure to get something that matches the character's personality and profession. The suit I choose must fit me perfectly and be comfortable to wear. It is essential to choose a suit that complements my body type and skin tone so that I look

Quick Competition Break!

Our group began figuring out the logistics of our movie schedule. We had been discussing ideas and making plans for weeks, and everyone was excited to get started. However, we ran into a problem when Lauren had to leave town for a debate competition in Orlando. We were disappointed that we couldn't continue with our plans, but we all understood why she had to leave town and wished her the best of luck. During Lauren's absence, we kept in touch and tried to work out potential dates to meet up and continue working on the opening sequence. Unfortunately, it just wasn't possible while she was away. So, we decided to wait until Lauren returned to coordinate a date that worked for everyone. We missed her, but we knew it would be fine and she would soon come back with a trophy to show us. Now that Lauren has returned, we are eager to coordinate a date to all meet up and record. We have been looking forward to this project for a long time and are ready to get started. As we co

Planning Blog: Storyboard !

Image
Welcome Back! Along with our script we also developed a storyboard for our movie! With five pages total, our first page depicts Santana walking into the courtroom, about to depose a man named Joel. Santana is being explained the case for the first time as he walks into the interrogation room by his assistant named Maria. Santana sits down in the room and begins to talk with Joel. The following page explains the events after successfully resolving the case, where Santana egocentrically flirts with women, before he is interrupted by a phone call. Santana walks away from the women and it’s Maria calling amazed that he was able to resolve this case. Santana is trying to get out of this phone call to flirt with women which he eventually does. As he tries to start flirting again, page 3 shows that Santana is yet again interrupted, but this time it’s a girl named Ellie. Ellie comes to Santana, begging him for help, explaining that she feels as though her life is in danger. Santana expl
