Suit Up !

 For our upcoming movie, I am playing the role of a lawyer, and it is essential for me to be in a suit. A suit is a convention that can help convey the message that I am a lawyer to the viewers. The suit is a crucial aspect of the character, and it helps me get into the character's mindset. Although I already have some suits, I needed a new suit anyways as I use them for Debate and Mock Trial outside of school too, so it kills 2 birds with one stone. The suit I wear for the movie needs to stand out from everyone else in casual clothing, so it is clear to the audience that it is a costume. Over the weekend, I will be visiting a store to purchase a new suit. I have already researched the style of suits that lawyers usually wear, and I will make sure to get something that matches the character's personality and profession. The suit I choose must fit me perfectly and be comfortable to wear. It is essential to choose a suit that complements my body type and skin tone so that I look my best on screen. I also need to choose the right accessories to go with the suit, such as a tie, cufflinks, and shoes. These accessories will help complete the look and add to the character's authenticity. Getting the right suit is crucial for the movie's success as it helps establish the character and convey the message to the audience. Without the suit, it may be challenging for viewers to understand the character's profession and personality. The suit is not just a costume, it's also an extension of the character's personality. It helps me get into the character's mindset and portray the role more convincingly. I will take care to ensure that the suit is well-maintained and kept in good condition throughout the movie's filming. It's usually important to have a backup suit in case of any accidents or spills during filming, but bringing 2 suits is inconvenient so i'll just bring a casual change of clothes and wear the suit only when needed with caution. In conclusion, getting the right suit is crucial for my role as a lawyer in the movie. It is a convention that helps convey the character's profession and personality to the audience. I will make sure to choose a suit that fits perfectly, complements my body type and skin tone, and matches the character's profession and personality. With the right suit, I can get into character more easily and portray the role more convincingly.

    Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!. I am continuing to research short films and their conventions. I am reviewing short films that follow my genre to learn about conventions I would need to use for my short film. As the genre I am using is mystery, I am going to be watching mystery short films. In this blog I am going to research the mystery short film, “Buried Treasure”. I was able to find this short film option on YouTube.       When the film opens, the music is the first thing once again that I notice. This music is different though from the last movie I reviewed. The difference was that this music got louder progressively as the opening of the short film continued. The lighting is the same though. I notice the dark lighting. The dark lighting creates a very deep shadow and puts spotlights on certain aspects.  Welcome back! In todays blog I plan to introduce you to the next 3 members you'll hear about till the end of our journey on this project, so lets get into it! For this project I realized that it would be our most ambitious one yet, so I decided to work with 4 people instead of 2 or 3. For those of you who've read my previous blogs, you'll remember Lauren, as she worked with me on my previous project too. Lauren and I worked exceptionally well together, so we decided to keep the ball rolling and tackle this on too. We could not do it alone however, so we added 2 new additions to our team, Franshesca and Isa. Starting with Isa, she's also on the debate team and is good friends with Lauren and I, so given that we all shared the same Media period together and already had good chemistry, she'll be a great pick for our team.   And the planning begins! Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! The last time you read I was researching for my short film. My group and I were doing things like comparing short films to its feature film version, looking at conventions of short films in our genre we chose (mystery), and etc. Now that my group and I have done the research it’s finally the time to start planning for our short film. So, in this blog, I wanted to talk to you guys about the ideas our group came up with when it comes to the scheduling, location, backup plans, and etc, for our film! Schedule So, for the schedule of our movie, we want to have it completely done and submitted by March 13th. By, this date we will have all of our marketing, editing, and filming done.
