a lot of.... Storyboarding!

 First shot - 

- The first shot will consist of us in a studio about to start recording a new song. Santa will be sitting about to produce the song and Lauren will be rapping into the mic. 

Second shot - 

- The second shot will be us holding up money during the line "how much money you got?"

Third shot - 

- The third shot is Santa yelling at Lauren for not knowing how to solve a simple math problem. 

Fourth shot - 

- The fourth shot is Santa doubting Lauren while Lauren is singing the line "how many people done doubted you?"

Fifth shot - 

- The fifth shot is Santa shoveling dirt onto his phone.

Sixth shot - 

- The sixth and seventh shots go together. In the sixth shot, Santa is praying that Lauren flops.

Seventh shot - 

- Lauren then flops. 

Eighth shot - 

- In the eighth shot, Santa is wearing a suit and holding up a gavel while Lauren is rapping the line "how many lawyers you got?"

Ninth shot - 

- The ninth shot is Lauren shooting Santa with a water gun. 

Tenth shot - 

- The tenth shot is Lauren shooting the camera with a water gun. (the camera will not be shot directly for the camera's sake)

Eleventh shot - 

- The eleventh shot is Lauren in a car driving while Santa is in the passenger seat rapping his line "a lot."

Twelfth shot - 

- In the twelfth shot, Lauren is crying because someone found out she cheated on them. This is of course not a real scenario. 

Thirteenth shot - 

- The thirteenth shot also correlates with the fourteenth shot. In this shot, Santa is telling a story to Lauren.

Fourteenth shot - 

-  This shot shows Santa crossing his fingers behind his back while telling Lauren a story. This shows that Santa is lying to Lauren. 

Fifteenth shot - 

- This is a shot of Lauren walking out the door while holding up a peace sign. 

Sixteenth shot - 

- In this shot, Lauren is crying and Santa is rolling his eyes behind her. 

Seventeenth shot - 

- Santa is surrounded by plushies in this shot. The plushies signify girls. 

Eighteenth shot - 

- Santa is sitting on a tree branch because he is "riding a stick."

Nineteenth shot - 

- This shot is a shot of Lauren's dog in a jail jumpsuit. 

Twentieth shot -

- Santa lies "dead" on the ground with money surrounding him. 

Twenty-first shot - 

- Lauren is on the phone snitching to someone and Santa is shooting her with the water gun. 

Twenty-second shot - 

- Lauren is back in the studio rapping into the microphone again to signify that she was actually rapping the whole time. 

Twenty-third shot - 

- Lauren and Santa looking at the song they created on a computer. 

Each shot will last as long as the line is in the song.

    Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!. I am continuing to research short films and their conventions. I am reviewing short films that follow my genre to learn about conventions I would need to use for my short film. As the genre I am using is mystery, I am going to be watching mystery short films. In this blog I am going to research the mystery short film, “Buried Treasure”. I was able to find this short film option on YouTube.       When the film opens, the music is the first thing once again that I notice. This music is different though from the last movie I reviewed. The difference was that this music got louder progressively as the opening of the short film continued. The lighting is the same though. I notice the dark lighting. The dark lighting creates a very deep shadow and puts spotlights on certain aspects. This goes back to the point convention I’ve noticed in mystery films which is having the audience very focused on the little details....

Say hello to my little friends!

 Welcome back! In todays blog I plan to introduce you to the next 3 members you'll hear about till the end of our journey on this project, so lets get into it! For this project I realized that it would be our most ambitious one yet, so I decided to work with 4 people instead of 2 or 3. For those of you who've read my previous blogs, you'll remember Lauren, as she worked with me on my previous project too. Lauren and I worked exceptionally well together, so we decided to keep the ball rolling and tackle this on too. We could not do it alone however, so we added 2 new additions to our team, Franshesca and Isa. Starting with Isa, she's also on the debate team and is good friends with Lauren and I, so given that we all shared the same Media period together and already had good chemistry, she'll be a great pick for our team. New Word: Plan

  And the planning begins! Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! The last time you read I was researching for my short film. My group and I were doing things like comparing short films to its feature film version, looking at conventions of short films in our genre we chose (mystery), and etc. Now that my group and I have done the research it’s finally the time to start planning for our short film. So, in this blog, I wanted to talk to you guys about the ideas our group came up with when it comes to the scheduling, location, backup plans, and etc, for our film! Schedule So, for the schedule of our movie, we want to have it completely done and submitted by March 13th. By, this date we will have all of our marketing, editing, and filming done. So, our group decided to start filming around mid February. By filming in mid February, this will allow our group leniency.
