a lot of... Retrospect!

Welcome back! With my final production blog I decided to  look back at our progress and see what proved challenging and what I had to do to overcome things in our production. Making a music video with friends was a new and exciting experience for all of us. I had to overcome the challenge of coordinating our schedules and finding a time that worked for everyone. One of the biggest challenges was finding the right location for the video shoot. I spent a lot of time scouting different locations such as Dania Pointe, Sawgrass Mall, my house, Lauren’s house, and eventually settled on spots that I thought would be perfect. Another challenge was coming up with a concept and storyboard for the video. I had to be creative and think outside the box to come up with a unique and interesting idea. One of the biggest obstacles was figuring out how to execute the concept I had come up with. I had to be resourceful and find ways to use what I had available to us to bring our vision to life. Another challenge was working with a limited budget, which meant I had to be creative with how I spent my money, so going to places like 5 below for props proved quite beneficial. One of the biggest struggles was trying to keep everyone on track and on schedule during the shoot. I had to be organized and efficient to make sure I got all the footage I needed in time Another challenge was dealing with unexpected setbacks and issues that arose during the shoot, such as people having to leave early, needing an extra person, or even getting sick. I had to be adaptable and find solutions to problems as they came up. Another struggle was finding the right lighting and getting the right shots in different locations. I had to experiment and try different techniques to get the look and feel I wanted. One of the biggest challenges was working with a small crew and limited resources. I had to be creative and find ways to get the most out of what I had available to myself. One of the biggest challenges was finding the right balance between being creative and sticking to the plan. I had to be open to new ideas and try different approaches, but also make sure I stayed on track and got the footage I needed from our storyboard. I had to be efficient and work well under pressure to meet the deadline. Despite the challenges, the process of making a music video with friends was ultimately rewarding and fun. I learned a lot and gained valuable experience, and I was proud of the final product. Overall I hoped the readers enjoyed this Highschooler's blog on the process he and his friends took to create a music video that ultimately he’s really proud of.

I’ll see you all in the next one:)
